Abstract
Reports results of an investigation of the magnetic properties of various rock types, including the banded magnetite and hematite cherts and quartzites of the Precambrian Middleback group which are the host rocks of the iron deposits, carried out to facilitate quantitative interpretation of data from aeromagnetic surveys of the Middleback ranges.
