Edward Bromhead is Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at Kingston University London. Eddie was born in Germany in 1948 and like many children of Service families had a roaming childhood. In 1966 he commenced the then new Council for National Academic Award (CNAA) 3 year BSc in Civil Engineering at Portsmouth College of Technology, missing the start of Portsmouth’s Engineering Geology course by 1 year.
