In my introduction, I said that this submission was meant with grad-students in mind. Therefore, it seems appropriate to end this paper on those terms.

I much admire a short work entitled “Advice to a Young Scientist” (Medawar, 1979), which appears to still be available from Amazon. Except for the fact that he assumed everyone exclusively published in Nature, I believe Medawar offers much wisdom.
