After I had been a post-doc at UA for a couple of years, Mike Drake gave me a document, produced by my post-doc predecessor, Dave (Duck) Mittlefehldt (JSC), entitled, “Advice to the Unwary.” This turn-up documented all of Duck’s troubles in doing solid metal/liquid metal partitioning in the Fe-Ni-X system.
