At least 100 papers dealing with Mesozoic ammonites have appeared since the last review of the subject (1958). Altogether 50 new generic and subgeneric names for Mesozoic ammonites which are not found in volume L of the Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology have been proposed in these papers. These papers are discussed under the heading of general interest works and then under Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Ammonoidea studies.
