First of all, I thank the Paleontological Society for this honor, which really belongs to the many people who selflessly shared their intellect, knowledge, and data. Thanks to them I have been able to participate in diverse research themes ranging from the morphometrics of Precambrian acritarchs to the geochemistry of Holocene mollusks.
