Journal Subscriptions
GSW's journals collection provides access to 50+ top-tier journals from 37 global publishing societies. The overwhelming majority (88%) of the journals in our collection are ranked in the Web of Science Journal Citation Report. The GSW Archive Collection (1905-1999) continues to grow as new backfiles are added, providing lasting value to subscribers.
eBook Subscriptions
The GSW eBook Collections provide integrated, high-value, full-text content from 14 trusted publishers. With the convenience of downloadable chapters, eBooks are cross-searchable and interlinked with the GSW Journals Collections and the GeoRef database. The complete collection includes years 1926-present, with many eBooks not available elsewhere online. eBook Collections are available as subscription or one-time purchase with perpetual access with no ongoing administrative hosting fees (from 2020).
GeoRef Subscriptions
The GSW Research Platform is empowered by GeoRef. Established by the American Geosciences Institute, GeoRef is the most comprehensive and authoritative abstracting and indexing database in the geosciences. It contains 4.5 million references to journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports and theses, and grows by more than 100,000 references each year.
The GeoRef integration empowers researchers with:- Faceted search by subject, geographic and time-based terms
- Map-based search
- The GeoRef Thesaurus, featuring more than 40,000 controlled vocabulary terms and the complete GeoRef indexing structure
The integration requires all GSW subscribers to also have an active GeoRef subscription. Subscriptions to GeoRef are available from GSW as well as other sources. If you already subscribe to GeoRef, please submit that information to GSW when you ask for a price quote.
