About Novosibirsk State University

Founded in 1958, Novosibirsk State University is Russia's largest scientific and educational centre.

Situated in the research center of Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences - Akademgorodok - with its 35 research institutes and innovative technopark, NSU's students have the opportunity to perform research in more than 100 research laboratories.

The University aims to train high-profile specialists to assume leadership roles in science, education and science-intensive industries.

About Russian Geology and Geophysics

The Journal publishes original articles of theoretical and methodological nature in all fields of geology, geophysics, and geochemistry.

This includes research results on: field investigations and modeling of the composition and structure of the Earth's crust and mantle; processes of formation and general structure patterns of ore minerals resources and oil and gas fields; application of exploration methods and development of deposits; theoretical and practical aspects of biosphere evolution; environment and climate change.

The Journal also reports results of regional investigation of the geology of Siberia and adjacent territories - priority is usually given to these papers.
