When the first Sulfide volume was published in 1974, by the Mineralogical Society of America with Paul Ribbe as the Editor, little did we forsee what exciting adventure was ahead. But here we are, 33 years and 60 RiMG volumes later. Publishing technologies may have changed (no more typewriters or ditto’s), the faces of the scientists (and editors) have grown older (or changed all together), but our enthusiasm for mineralogy and geochemistry hasn’t. Let’s hope that this present volume on Sulfide Mineralogy and Geochemistry will usher in the next 60 RiMG volumes with as much impact as the first did!...
