FROM THE SERIES EDITOR This volume was jointly published by the Mineralogical Society of America (MSA) and the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei (ANL). The chapters were invited contributions to the December 6–7, 2004 meeting on Micro- and Mesoporous Mineral Phases held in Rome, Italy. A volume of extended abstracts was published in 2004 in occasion of the Rome meeting (“Micro- and Mesoporous Mineral Phases,” Accad Lincei, Rome; ISBN 88-86409-41-9). It reports the abstracts of 73 contributions including the 12 invited ones that are the content of this RiMG volume.
