The review chapters in this volume were the basis for a two-day short course on Epidote Minerals held prior (June 3 4, 2004) to the 2004 Goldschmidt Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. The editors (and conveners of the short course) Axel Liebscher and Gerhard Franz and the other chapter authors/presenters have produced a comprehensive review volume that should be a standard used by scientists for many years to come.
