Frontiers in Geofluids celebrates the 10th anniversary of the journal Geofluids. It comprises a set of papers originally published electronically as a special double issue of the journal. The volume clearly illustrates the central role of fluids and fluid flow in a wide spectrum of geological processes, including heat flow in the oceanic crust, metamorphism, ore deposit and petroleum reservoir formation, deformation and seismicity, and late-stage magmatic crystallization, to name just a few. A central aim of Geofluids is to bring fluid research in these disparate but linked areas together. As this volume shows, the effort has been highly...
