Electron microprobe and CHN analysis gave CuO 68.84, Cl 26.35, H₂O 7.47, O ≡ Cl 5.96, sum 96.70 wt%, corresponding to Cu_1.05(OH)_1.00O_0.10Cl_0.90. The mineral occurs as yellowish green to olive-green incrustations and masses in which individual grains are up to 100 μm. Vitreous luster, transparent to translucent, soft, yellowish green streak, nonfluorescent, D_calc = 3.79 g/cm³ for the empirical formula and Z = 4. Unstable in...
