Abstract
Crystallographic measurements on livingstonite from Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico—the first to be made on this species—give the following data: Monoclinic; prismatic—2/m; a : b : c = 3.7572 : 1 : 5.3660; β = 104°10′. Elongated [010], Forms: c{001} perfect cleavage, a{100}, d{101}, e{101}, p{111}, q{122}; uncertain: {11.1.0}, {011}, {111}, {122}. Space group, C2h5−P21/c; a0 = 15.14, b0 = 3.98, c0 = 21.60; β = 104°. Cell content (provisional), Hg4Sb16S28.
