The basic premise behind this somewhat unorthodox book is that plate tectonics does not occur and that 99.99% of petrologists, geophysicists and structural geologists were, and are wrong. Sanchez Cela presents his model for the generation of igneous rocks; however, I must confess that I found neither his conclusions, nor his reasoning at all convincing. As with many erroneous hypotheses the model contains grains of truth; however, these disparate grains of truth have been used to construct a paradigm which unfortunately does not stand up in the face of rigorous geological scrutiny.
