This is a welcome second edition to the book on Radiogenic Isotope Geology by Alan Dickin. The first edition was well received and sufficiently popular to have been published in 1995 and then updated in 1997. Books on isotope geology tend either to be slightly sparse descriptions of the different isotope systems, which in some ways can make them more accessible to students, or wide ranging reviews that seek to engage the reader in the problems where isotopes have been successfully applied.
