Covadonga Brime was worn on 26 September 1950 in the town of Oviedo, Asturias, north-west Spain. She achieved her degree in Geological Sciences in June 1973 from the University of Oviedo, was awarded her PhD in Sciences (Geology) on 26 May 1978 (Oviedo University) and received her ‘Proficiency in English’ (Cambridge University) in June 1978.
