Abstract

"Galeacornea, a new genus of palynomorphs of unknown origin and affinity from the middle Cretaceous of Portuguese Guinea and Senegal, is established with G. clavis, new species, as its type species. Three additional species, Galeacornea causea, G. protensa, and G. acuminata, all new, are assigned to the new genus. Possible relationships among the four species of Galeacornea as suggested by a comparative study of their varied and distinctive morphologic characters are discussed."
