Abstract
Three distinctive faunas are distinguished among larger foraminifera from Tertiary localities of the Solomon islands--the San Jorge fauna, Aquitanian (uppermost Oligocene-lowermost Miocene), the Anubia fauna (Burdigalian), and a third fauna comprising Pliocene to Recent species. The various species, two of which are new, are systematically described. A review of the structure and stratigraphy of the islands is included.
