Abstract
Examination of material from 3 Dominican Republic Miocene localities has revealed the necessity for clarification of the genus Corynostylus Canu and Bassler, 1919. C. labiatus and C. ellipticus are determined to be synonymous . A new ascophoran genus is described together with 1 new species, Fusicanna dohmi, and the affinities of the genus are discussed.
