A comprehensive bipartite palynological study of Upper Devonian surface and mining exposures located in the Spanish part of the Iberian Pyrite Belt (Gonz ez, Playford and Moreno 2005; Gonz ez, Moreno and Playford, 2005) included the systematic description of more than 75 species of miospores and marine organic-walled microphytoplankton, and evaluated their bio-and chronostratigraphic significance.
