"Gives an account of the morphologic variation and dimorphism shown by certain species of foraminifera belonging to the family Lagenidae in the upper Lias of northern Lincolnshire, England. The variation of the megalospheric generation is described, and the relative importance of different morphological features commonly used in the diagnosis ofspecies is discussed. The clear morphologic separation of microspheric and megalospheric generations is established in one case, but no support for the theory of trimorphism is given by this investigation." Descriptions of a new species and two new varieties are included.
