"Three species of the genus Sherbornina Chapman, 1922, are of stratigraphic value in the lower Tertiary of southeastern Australia. The type species, Sherbornina atkinsoni Chapman, is emended, and two new species are described. The structure of the earlier species suggests that the genus is related to the Elphidiidae. The stratigraphic distribution is discussed. The known range of the genus is from upper Eocene to lower Miocene."
