Abstract
"The various monotralamous genera of foraminifera are able to take up detritus from different levels within the few millimeters of bottom sediment that have a high detrital content, depending upon the respective structures of their pseudopodia. This thin detrital layer is greatly reinforced by the agglutination of detritus between the pseudopodia."
