Abstract
Spores and pollen (including new species) from beds of the Lathi formation (lower-middle Jurassic) encountered in two borings in the Jaisalmer area, west Rajasthan, India, are described. The composition of the assemblages, characterized by a predominance of cycadalean and bennettitalean species, the presence of some pteridophyte spores, and a scarcity of coniferous pollen, as well as the lithology of the beds, suggest coastal or deltaic depositional conditions and a dry climate.
