Abstract

"A reappraisal of the planktonic foraminiferal faunas described from various parts of the world has shown that an approximate correlation of the various planktonic zonations now in use can be made. The relationship between these various zones to the time-stratigraphic boundaries of the classic stages of western Europe can be determined with a satisfactory degree of confidence."
