Abstract
About 700 conodonts, of 32 species and 17 genera, are described from outcrop belts of the Trentonian Jacksonburg Limestone; the fauna is characteristic of the midcontinent conodont province and can best be correlated with faunas of the Trentonian Decorah Shale of Minnesota and the Kimmswick Formation of Missouri. By contrast, Jacksonburg Limestone in an isolated outlier near Clinton, N. J., yielded a distinctly northern European fauna of 250 specimens of 28 species and 16 genera. The fauna shows close correlation with the Crug and other limestones of Wales, equivalent to either Trentonian or Edenian in the North American standard. Coelocerodontus jerseyensis, n. sp., is described from Sarepta, N. J.
