The V1-V2 pegmatite occurs within the Uis Swarm, Cape Cross-Uis pegmatite belt, Namibia, and represents one of the largest, mineralogically homogeneous (unzoned) or layered pegmatites in Southern Africa. The Cape Cross-Uis pegmatite belt has recently been the subject of characterization on a regional scale (Fuchsloch et al. 2018, 2019), following earlier historical prospecting-focused studies (Richards 1986, Diehl 1993).
