Topaz occurs in many worldwide pegmatites including Brazil, Pakistan, Ukraine, Russia and a host of others that find their way into the worldwide mineral market. New Hampshire is rarely mentioned even though specimen (and gem) production began in the late 1800s and continues to the present day. In New Hampshire topaz is found in miarolitic cavities within the White Mountain Igneous Province (WMIP).
