COVER: The exceptionally well-preserved sedimentary fill of Goatee Graben transitions from the initial tan and red fluvial deposits, with sparse basalt in the valley and lower slopes, to marine limestone on the mountainsides and tops. Goatee Graben is one of the multiple depocenters formed during the Carboniferous rifting event that gave birth to the Sverdrup Basin in the Canadian Arctic. Location: Northern Axel Heiberg Island, Canadian Arctic Archipelago. See “Late Paleozoic to Triassic arc magmatism north of the Sverdrup Basin in the Canadian Arctic: Evidence from detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology” by D. Alonso-Torres, B. Beauchamp, B. Guest, T.
