In our last editorial, we reiterated our goal of publishing research papers of the highest caliber and impact in sedimentary geology in the Journal of Sedimentary Research (JSR). It is with great satisfaction, therefore, that we report that the ISI Journal Citation Index for JSR for 2009 increased to 2.008, placing us among the top-ranked geological journals. Our citation index has also been steadily increasing for the past five years.
