We appreciate Wells' (2003) interest in the subject matter discussed by Balsillie et al. (2002) and thank him for careful analysis of the paper. The purpose of our paper was to find a way to produce arithmetic probability paper (APP) as originally constructed by Hazen (1914). We reported that very few computer applications allow for the production of APP, ostensibly because of the complicated, nonlinear nature of the Gaussian cumulative probability or cumulative percentile axis of the Gaussian probability density distribution (GPDD).
