Many readers and librarians have noticed that the January, March, and now May 2002 issues of JSR do not contain the Section A or Section B subtitles. This represents a permanent change enacted by SEPM (The Society for Sedimentary Geology) at the fall 2001 Council meeting in Boston. Although the A and B subtitles are gone, their demise does not represent a change in title; the journals "key title" remains the "Journal of Sedimentary Research."
