Abstract

"The Miocene Rajahmundry formation in Andhra Pradesh exhibits excellent cross-bedding of different scales. Cross-bedding azimuths show wide variation areally, but, nevertheless, point to a southerly direction of transport when the data are treated with Tukey chi-square test of orientation. The Rajahmundry formation is thought to have been deposited under valley-flat conditions."
