Abstract

Gamma-ray activated glow curves of several natural dolomites revealed three groups based on glow curve shapes. The groups are possibly related to the differing origin of dolomites, but the technique is not completely conclusive as lattice defects or impurities may affect the glow curves. Some 30 samples of naturally occurring dolomites were analyzed for their natural thermoluminescence and for their artifically induced thermoluminescence.
