Abstract
Representative fossils from rocks of different ages and lithologies were subjected to relatively low frequency ultrasonic vibrations. An examination of the results showed that the cleaning accomplished is highly successful for many samples and that detrimental effects are rare unless cleaning is continued for an excessive length of time.
