British specimens of the upper Carboniferous malacostracan Anthrapalaemon dubius are somewhat larger than those described from Limburg, Netherlands, and also differ in certain morphologic features such as the number of lateral spines and ornamentation of the carapace. Their stratigraphic range corresponds with that reported for the Limburg material. Their faunal and lithologic associations support the conclusion that A. dubius was nonmarine in habitat.
