I know it is cliché, but I feel very lucky to be a paleontologist as my vocation and profession, and I am immensely grateful to the Paleontological Society for selecting me for this recognition. There is so much good paleontology and earth-life science being done right now, that I honestly feel very lucky to have been chosen.
