It is with great pleasure, gratitude, and humility that I accept the Paleontological Society Medal. Recognition from colleagues in the field with which I most closely identify is deeply meaningful to me as an expression of support for the collections- and field-based research I have done on how organisms live and evolve on a changing Earth through time.
