I was first introduced to the world of fossils by my father in the mid 1960s, when he took me into the local White River outcrop. The fascination and love for the field of paleontology has been a part of me ever since. I was able to continue with the study of the local fossils in southwestern North Dakota upon my return from the US Air Force in 1979, however my father had since passed away and was not able to join me.
