Abstract

A diverse fauna containing eight taxa is described from the Lazy Bend Formation. New taxa include Camptochiton squarrosus n. gen., n. sp.; Pedanochiton discomptus n. gen., n. sp.; Pileochiton cancellus n. gen., n. sp.; and Coryssochiton parallelus n. gen., n. sp. Four of the species are in common with a previously described fauna from the Vanport Shale (Desmoinesian) of Ohio which, on the basis of fusulinid occurrences, shows a close time correlation with the Lazy Bend Formation.--Modified journal abstract.
