Abstract

A nearly complete skeleton of a polycotylid plesiosaur from the Lake Waco Formation [west of Waco, McLennan County] Texas is described and figured as Ceraunosaurus brownorum gen. et. sp. nov. This form differs in details of the skull and limb girdles from otherdescribed polycotylids. It shows affinities to Dolichorhynchops and Leptocleidus.
