Abstract

Reticulograptus tuberosus sinclairi n. subsp. is the third taxon within this genus in which the internal structure has been studied. The presence of partly sclerotized stolons is confirmed. This intermediate condition shows that graptolites cannot be assigned simply to one or other of two classes, based only on the presence or absence of fully sclerotized stolons. Conothecae are described, and their nomenclature defined.
