Abstract

Type specimens of seven Pennsylvanian gastropods from Illinois, eastern Ohio, and western Pennsylvania are redescribed and figured. The species are: Loxonema (now referred to Streptacis) cerithiformis Meek and Worthen, Macrocheilus (Ianthinopsis) klipparti Meek, Pleurotomaria (Trepospira) illinoiensis Worthen, Pleurotomaria (Glyptomaria) scitula Meek and Worthen, Porcellia peoriensis Worthen, Trachydomia wheeleri Raymond (non Swallow), and Worthenia (Glabrocingulum) beedei Mark. Trachydomia raymondi, n. sp., is established on material identified as T. wheeleri (Swallow).
