Thirty-six conodont species, of 14 genera, are described from the Ordovician El Paso Formation type locality in Franklin Mountains, El Paso County, Tex., and from Blue Mountain, Cochise County, Ariz. Six new species of Scolopodus Pander are described; other new species are Drepanodus toomeyi, Oepikodus equidentatus, Paltodus spurius, and Gothodus communis. Differences between the faunas suggest that the conodonts from the middle part of the type El Paso are younger than Early Ordovician faunas previously described in this country, and also younger than the El Paso fauna from Arizona.
