Abstract

Acaciapora austeni (Worthen), previously referred to the genera Striatopora and Trachypora, is redescribed, and its stratigraphic placement determined in the Holdenville Shale (Desmoinesian) in Labette County, Kans. This coral is the most abundant single element of a very abundant fauna of invertebrate mega- and microfossils, some of which are listed.
