Abstract

A single pygidium of the trilobite Cybelopsis speciosa Poulsen, 1927, has recently been found approximately 125 ft stratigraphically above the base of the Lenoir Limestone (Middle Ordovician) in Shelby County, Alabama. The genus and species has previously been known from the Early Ordovician of Greenland and of Utah.
