Abstract

The basal beds of the Roberts Mountains Formation exposed in the Lynn Window in the Tuscarora Mountains, N.-central Nevada, have yielded a relatively large, diverse graptolite assemblage. Analysis of the assemblage indicates that it is closely similar to that of the Early Wenlock Zone of Monograptus riccartonensis of the British and Bohemian Silurian graptolite zonal successions.
