Abstract

Carcinosoma scorpionis (Grote & Pitt), hitherto know only from the Williamsville Dolomite Member (upper Bertie) of the Buffalo area is now recorded from 140 mi farther E., from the Oxbow Dolomite (upper Bertie) in Onondaga County, New York. The form previously reported by Ruedemann as Eusarcus trigonus (Carcinosoma trigonum) from the Fiddlers Green Member (lower Bertie) of Herkimer County in central Now York is shown to be a badly preserved specimen of the common Fiddlers Green species Eurypterus remipes remipes De Kay.
