Abstract

New collections from the Tensleep sandstone in the Wind River basin and Big Horn basin of Wyoming contain 9 species of brachiopods, 1 scaphopod, 1 gastropod, and 1 trilobite. All specimens are either referable to previously described species or are impossible to identify specifically. This fauna strengthens the conclusion that the Tensleep sandstone in this region is Des Moinesian [Pennsylvanian] in age.
